From January 2014 Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency became a part of international consortium of eight organizations from Black Sea region (Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Georgia, Turkey) project Development of Outdoor Adventure Tourism Network, co-funded by "Black Sea Basin 2007-2013".
The partner organizations are:

Partner 6: Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency, Bulgaria;
Partner 7: Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Stara Zagora (CCI CZ)
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to sustainable economic and social development in the Black Sea region by natural, historical and cultural heritage and strengthening the capacity to manage tourism products.
The specific objectives are:
- Identify opportunities and barriers in the development of the tourism sector to achieve sustainable economic development in the region;
- To develop a strategy for sustainable adventure tourism and action plan for the region;
- To improve the management capacity of local institutions, tourism operators and small companies working in the field;
- To promote adventure tourism as a tool for sustainable economic development and promotion of business cooperation.
The project activities are divided into several groups, including: study of existing tourism products; networking; preparation of strategy and action plan.
In connection with the successful implementation of the activities and achieving the intended results, are currently being conducted extensive online research in all participating countries.
