Programme: Digital Europe Program

Description

Digital technology is changing people’s lives. As is stated in the Digital Europe - EDIH Work Program 2021-2023/10.11.21 document the digital technologies are profoundly changing our daily life, our way of working and doing business, our way to understand and use our natural resources and environment and the way we interact, communicate and educate ourselves. This is why the von der Leyen Commission has presented an ambitious strategy on shaping Europe’s digital future on 19 February 2020. The EU’s Digital Strategy aims to make this transformation work for people and businesses, while helping to achieve its target of a climate-neutral Europe by 2050. The DEP is designed to bridge the gap between digital technology research and market deployment, supporting the EU’s twin objectives of a green transition and digital transformation while strengthening the Union’s resilience and digital sovereignty.
The Climate policy of the EC is one of the considered ones in the design, preparation, implementation and evaluation of each program.
